Reminder for November Events
Just a quick reminder and run down of the upcoming events in November at the Hopkinsville Christian County Public Library and the regular on-going events.
Tuesday, November 03 2009, 5:30pm - 7:00pm - "REaD Carpet Event" – Fun for the whole family. Come dressed as your favorite character, and have your picture made with characters you love. Pizza and soft drinks will be available, as well as crafts.
Saturday, November 07 2009 - The Hopkinsville-Christian County Night Friends of the Library will be hosting a panel event immediately following the 2009 Veteran's Day Parade, which will be held on November 7. The panel will be led by Mike Freeland, author of Blood River to Berlin. There will be veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq. Refreshments will be served. The Veteran's Day Parade ends at the Justice Center and it will be convenient for everyone to adjourn to the Library, which is right across the street. The event should last until 12:00 noon.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – Story times for different ages.
The Hopkinsville-Christian County Night Friends of the Library are also planning to host replicas of Jackie Kennedy's jewelry in November. An exact date has not been set, so please check back later for more details.
Also, don’t forget, November is Canned Foods for Fines Month. From November 1st through November 30th you may bring in one canned good for each $1 in fines owed. For more information click here.
